02/23/2024 @ 1832, Stranded Motorcyclist – Toquerville Falls – Man Hours – 38 SAR responded to a 42 year old male motorcyclist that crashed his bike in LaVerkin Creek. He stated he had no supplies to make it through the night. SAR went in and located him. They brought him out and he was checked by EMS. He refused medical and said he would come back and get his motorcycle in daylight.

02/27/2024 @ 1788, Stranded Motorist, LaVerkin Creek – Man Hours – 32 SAR responded to a 50 year old male that got his Toyota Tacoma stuck in LaVerkin Creek. SAR located the male and assist him out. He was taken back to the IC at the LaVerkin Shooting Range. He denied EMS and was released.

03/12/2024 @ 2024, Stranded Motorist, Smith Mesa – Man Hours – 28 SAR responded to locate four subjects, 2 parents and 2 children, that were stranded on Smith Mesa. Their vehicle broke down and they started walking to get out. The subjects got lost and had no supplies. SAR went in and located the family. They were brought out to the IC and released. A SAR member gave them a ride to their hotel.

03/13/2024 @ 2027, Overdue Climbers – Water Canyon – Man Hours – 12 SAR responded to five overdue climbers in Water Canyon. Another hiker stated they yelled at her to get help. SAR was paged along with the DPS Helicopter. The climbers made their way out prior to SAR arrival. All responding units were canceled.

03/14/2024 @ 1242, UTV Roll Over – Sand Mountain – Man Hours – 16 SAR responded to a UTV roll over on Sand Mountain. SAR and Utah State Park Rangers located the UTV. The 3 subjects involved were unhurt. They were brought out to the OHV Staging area and released. No EMS was needed.

03/15/2025 @ 1629, Injured Mountain Biker – Bear Claw Poppy – Man Hours – 30 SAR responded to a 21 year old female that crashed on a Mountain Bike. The female had a possible shoulder injury. SAR went in and located the injured female. They stabilized her shoulder and brought her out by the Water Tanks. She was turned over to EMS and transported to SGRH for treatment.

03/16/2025 @ 1600, Telematic Alarm – Sand Mountain – Man Hours – 14 SAR responded to a crash alarm on Sand Mountain. They located a rolled UTV with 4 subjects. All of the individuals were not hurt. State Parks took the accident scene and the subjects were brought back to Sand Hollow State Park and released.

03/17/2024 @ 1638, In Reach Alarm – Red Cliffs Recreation Area – Man Hours – 42 SAR responded to an In Reach signal asking for help. The GPS showed over a mile north on the Red Reef Trail. SAR unit started hiking in. A Drone was launched and they located two subjects near the creek. Another signal came in stated someone had a broken ankle. DPS Star 8 also responded. SAR located the subjects. The 53 year old female and 55 year old male were brought out. She refused medical care and they were released.
